The patent and The Patent and Innovation Recognition Award is intended to encourage and recognize technical innovation and creativity through submission of patents.

Eligibility

Employees who are involved with the research and development of innovative solutions that are patent-eligible.

Process

Nomination forms are found on Gerber Gateway. The awards should be initiated by a member of management and are approved by a Patent Award Committee.

Award

The following structure is in place:

• Provisional patent application filing: $300 (If more than one inventor, $900 is divided by the total number of inventors)

• Granted utility patent: $1,000 (If more than one inventor, $3000 will be divided among the total number of inventors.)
