FY21 Training Goals

When employees learn and grow, Gerber excels. We're so committed to employee growth, we've integrated a training goal into each employee's annual performance plan.

But where do I start?

Start your training plan with some thoughtful discussion between you and your manager. Identify learning opportunities that will help you work better, broaden your area of expertise, sharpen a skill you already have, or introduce you to something new and relatable to your job.

What resources do I have?

Gerber offers several training options and avenues.

  • If you haven't already read about our e-learning partner Kantola, visit this page to read more.

  • Sharpen your Google skills through web-based Google Training, offering a variety of courses across the Google suite.

  • Gerber University has a large assortment of specialized Gerber training. If this will help you deepen your understanding of Gerber products related to your role, sign in and browse the course offerings. Every employee has an account! For help with your account, contact Edu@gerbertechnology.

  • Professional organizations offer classes year-round. Check their websites to investigate your options.

  • On-line resources such as LinkedIn or SkillPath offer a large variety of courses, sometimes at no cost.

What's my budget?

Only your manager can answer this question. Each department pays for courses not covered under Kantola, so reach out to your manager to discuss.

What if my whole department can benefit from the same training?

If you've identified a course that multiple people can benefit from, start a discussion with your manager to investigate a group enrollment. Oftentimes, group discounts will be offered. While we're still in a COVID-19 environment, in-house courses may not be an option.

What else should I know?

Gerber is looking into different ways to offer the same course to all our employees. For example, we've heard lots of feedback that an advanced Excel class would be desired by many. Stay tuned!
