It is important to both you and the Company that your personnel records are kept up-to-date. Employees are responsible for accessing the ADP Portal to update personal information such as address, phone, email, emergency contacts, marital status, dependents, and insurance beneficiaries. As with all other personnel records, this information will not be released without your written permission, or unless required by law or regulation.

The Company handles personnel records with utmost confidentiality to protect each employee’s right to privacy. We request and retain only information required for business or legal purposes and maintain that information in accordance with federal and state regulations. Information contained in the personnel file will typically be shared internally only with the employee, the employee’s manager, Human Resources and authorized Finance personnel. Other managers may have access to such information only where a legitimate employment-related need exists and are expected to maintain the same level of confidentiality. Each employee has the right to access his or her personnel file in accordance with applicable state laws.

Records that include any personal information will be maintained and destroyed in accordance with federal and state laws. Where Gerber policy and operating procedures may conflict with a state law in any state in which the company operates, the state law shall supersede this policy.
